Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
Personal Evaluation: This is a pretty slim volume but packed with information. It could be called crowded and busy, or it could be considered active and stimulating but either way there is plenty to entertain and makes the sometimes-dull topic of history (or whatever the issue is about – the one I read was 1776) really engaging. However, the format of the magazine does not allow for real engagement in the form of letters to the editor.
What might interest children: Lots of graphics, a page on what else was going on around the world that year, and a page of puzzles. This magazine probably will not appeal to all kids, though!
